I have recently started creating Jewelry and I needed a basic guide to learn the starting techniques I could use. I purchased this one because it has a lot of pictures and I find that helpful when studying a subject that needs hands on practice. I wasn't dissapointed.It is excellent. It guides you through all the basic techinques, the pictures are an enormous help and you can easily understand it. Following its steps you can build the basic skills needed. It even has some projects that are fun to make and give you a starting point. My 8 year old wants to make and with this book I believe she can.This book offers you much information on many levels. I find this a great choice for the beginner who wants to learn the "how to" of jewelry creation. I can even go to the web site and order kits. That really saves time for me at least. Great work can't wait to see what comes in part 2. I was greatly disappointed that this "book" is nothing more than an advertisement for their website. They direct you to their website where they sell jewelry supplies and offer pdf files of tips to help you get started.When you try to download the files they want your name and address! The information in this "book" is very basic and can be found on the internet or at YouTube. Tweens or teens may benefit from this book if they have no experience at all.Would I purchase this book again as a gift? Absolutely not! I am not happy that I wasted 99 cents on this advertisement!
